hhh? this is really about choosing colors. creating a pallet??
- pick some random colors, they can be total shit, its okay. just throw down some things. vary everything! hue, value, saturation
- find intermediates! do not flat out blend, but do use a blendy brush. eyedrop the colors youre mixing and pick a color close between them and lay it down there.
- lay it down like everywhere
- between every single thing
- find intermediates of your intermediates
- go to town with them
- throw a party
- wow thats a lot of colors! simplify that
- okay
- you dont actually have to do step number 8, sometimes i dont
- do what feels right to you
then when youre actually doing a picture
- have the pallet you made up along with the canvas youre working on
- cover the canvas with a background color(s) from the pallet
- use another layer for the sketch?
- or dont! w/e who care
- i dont
- just go at it, use those colors you just made up
- you might not even need a sketch layer. go ahead and color on the background colors
- you dont need to stick completely to the pallet though
- you can do whatever you want
- its okay
- good job
perfect advice
