hhh? this is really about choosing colors. creating a pallet??

1. pick some random colors, they can be total shit, its okay. just throw down some things. vary everything! hue, value, saturation
2. find intermediates! do not flat out blend, but do use a blendy brush. eyedrop the colors youre mixing and pick a color close between them and lay it down there.
3. lay it down like everywhere
4. between every single thing
5. find intermediates of your intermediates
6. go to town with them
7. throw a party
8. wow thats a lot of colors! simplify that
9. okay
10. you dont actually have to do step number 8, sometimes i dont
11. do what feels right to you

then when youre actually doing a picture

1. have the pallet you made up along with the canvas youre working on
2. cover the canvas with a background color(s) from the pallet
3. use another layer for the sketch?
4. or dont! w/e who care
5. i dont
6. just go at it, use those colors you just made up
7. you might not even need a sketch layer. go ahead and color on the background colors
8. you dont need to stick completely to the pallet though
9. you can do whatever you want
10. its okay
11. good job
